My Story

I have enjoyed God's unmerited, sovereign grace lavished upon my life for 48 years. I grew up in a home in which my Mom and Dad pressed upon me to "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness." My Granddaddy, James Crumpton, was a pastor for nearly 60 years in Natchez, MS. He and my Granny encouraged me to seek the Lord and were both significant influences in my life. I was born again by the Lord's mercy on Wednesday, July 3, 1985 at the Greenwood Baptist Summer Camp. After graduating from high school at East Side Christian School I had a significant desire to be in pastoral ministry.  I enjoyed four years of undergraduate and two years of graduate school at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. What great years those were! I met my beautiful wife Becky at BJU. We were married on July 18, 1998. Just a couple of weeks after our wedding, I had the humbling privilege of beginning ministry as the youth pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Concord, NH where we served for nine years. I was honored to pastor an amazing group of teenagers and work with lifelong friends on youth staff.  I then served as the senior pastor at Trinity for nine additional years. During those 18 years, the Lord gifted Becky and me with four wonderful children: Brianna, Karyssa, Aiden and Cade. On January 10, 2016 we began serving as lead pastor at East Brandywine Baptist Church in Downingtown, PA. These past six years at EBBC have been so good. I love this church family so much.  On July 17, 2021, my oldest daughter married Jamison Leiss and we gained a son. We love him!
